QUENTIN BLAKE'S BOX OF TREASURES NEW EASTER SUNDAY, 2.15PM (TIMES VARY), & EASTER MONDAY, 1.30PM, BBC1 ANIMATION
Hop hop hooray! This Easter sees the BBC continue its holiday tradition of turning picture books into beautiful animations by adding two more stories to its landmark Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures collection.
Celebrating the award-winning illustrator’s career with handdrawn adaptations of six of his own books, the compendium, narrated by actor Adrian Lester, began in December with tales Zagazoo and Jack and Nancy.
Now, this Easter sees the arrival of Snuff and Mrs Armitage on Wheels, both launching on CBBC before airing on BBC1. The remaining two animations – Loveykins and Angel Pavement – are set to complete the box set later this year.
