AINSLEY’S TASTE OF MALTA MON-FRI, 2PM, ITV1 COOKERY
Ainsley Harriott is relishing the chance to showcase Maltese cuisine and culture in his latest ITV1 travelogue. Over the course of five episodes, Ainsley’s Taste of Malta follows the sunny chef as he criss-crosses the beautiful Mediterranean archipelago, while also putting his twist on popular local dishes.
‘Nestled between Sicily and the North African coast, Malta is a cluster of beautiful islands, which are a melting pot of different cultures and blessed with an abundance of amazing produce,’ enthuses Ainsley, 66.
‘Sat at the crossroads of Europe and the Middle East, everyone from the Greeks and the Romans to the Moors and the Crusaders have left their mark here, even us Brits. You can almost taste the history in the food!’
