Cops warn fans as thousands head for city after trophy day

POLICE have warned Celtic fans to behave as thousands prepare to hit Glasgow city centre today to celebrate their triumph.

The Hoops secured their third league title in a row against Kilmarnock with a 5-0 victory on Wednesday.

The champions host St Mirren at Celtic Park today at 12.30pm and will receive the league trophy at the game.

Fans are expected to travel into the Merchant City afterwards and cops have put a plan in place to "maintain" public safety.
