Harry's preserving his dignity after having to move out of home
NO GOING BACK

It was the fi nal straw. Prince Harry was so furious when he was told Frogmore Cottage could no longer be his UK home that he gave the date he was evicted as the date he offi cially became a US resident.

In documents fi led last week by Travalyst, a travel company he founded, Harry, 39, listed the United States as his “new country” of residence.

Despite having moved there with his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex in 2020, Harry gave June 29, 2023 as the date he became a resident. That’s the same day his father the King ordered them to vacate Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate.

Royal author Tom Quinn says Harry, 39, was “absolutely furious” when he was told he and Meghan, 42, could no longer use Frogmore as their UK base. It was provided to the couple as a “grace and favour” home by the Queen in 2019, the year after they married, and in 2020, they repaid $4.7 million of taxpayer money that had been used to renovate the building from fi ve apartments into one large four-bedroom family home.
