Welcome to Art Month! It's the most art-tastic time of the year, with both Art Basel and Art Central taking place towards the end of the month, and numerous activations and events at galleries across the city. We're celebrating the occasion with an exclusive cover and photo shoot with iconic Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. The artist spoke to us ahead of the opening of Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto, his first exhibition in Japan in eight years and the first outside of Tokyo. He spoke about his inspiration and collaborations, and some of what he hopes his work brings to observers. He will also be in Hong Kong during Art Basel.

In honour of Earth Day on April 22, Tatler's April edition is all about sustainability. Our cover story is an interview with Bosco Chan, the recently appointed director of WWF-HK who talks about a career spent working to protect Earth's biodiversity and shares a vision for Hong Kong in which economic growth and conservation efforts comfortably co-exist.
