evo India Magazine - February 2025

In this issue
Pagani can arguably be credited with the creation of the original hypercar more than 25 years ago, and in this issue, we look back at Pagani’s lineup of hand-crafted supercars in our 34-page celebration of the carmaker. This special includes a drive of the V12-powered Pagani Utopia that packs in more than 800bhp – along with our experience behind the wheel of the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC and the Huayra Codalunga. While these Huayra-based specials might take a contrasting experience from each other when it comes to delivering driving thrills, both the hypercars are united by the fact that they are madly exotic, incredibly rare and eye-wateringly valuable – sitting at the top of the Pagani pecking order. And we got to drive both of them! We also had an exclusive interview with Horacio Pagani himself, and the man reflected upon his company’s journey so far, with a clear vision for the future.
Also in this issue are first drive reviews of the Skoda Kylaq compact SUV which is a very important product for the carmaker in India, powered by the familiar 1.0 TSI engine. On the other hand you also have the Kia Syros which is an innovative take on what a sub 4-metre compact SUV should be packaged like. We also drove the Hyundai Creta electric, which is available with two battery options. The Ed went off-roading in South Africa with the Land Rover Defender Octa, powered by a V8 that produces 626bhp and we also rolled in the lap of luxury with the equally-impressive, V12-powered Mercedes-Maybach S680 Night Series. To top it all off, we also took the most powerful iteration of the Aston Martin Vantage to one of our favourite driving roads, and opened the taps on the 656bhp beast that it has now evolved into. Plus all the action from the Auto Expo – including the unveiling of the Tata Sierra which is now reborn with a contemporary design, the Avinya X Concept and Maruti Suzuki’s first electric car, the e Vitara.
