Here, we firmly believe that every cybersecurity incidents must become a wake-up call for organizations and individuals to put enough stress on the
security of the cyber realm we live in.

It is even more important that the individuals and companies working to secure the brave new world receive the necessary information. And this is where we strive to come in, with, The Cyber
Express. We are an information security news publication that aims to provide the latest news and analysis about the threats that are affecting the world.

This is our debut issue, and in this one, we touch upon a very crucial topic, Cyber Insurance and the paradox it created. Although ‘Act of War’ is typically excluded from insurance policies, it can still occur. Until now, it has been difficult for insurance companies to identify the individuals responsible for state-sponsored cyberattacks. Since these attacks are usually not acknowledged by state actors, it was typically difficult for them to identify the attackers.

In ‘The Cover’, we discuss how a few cyberattacks changed the approach of insurance companies and called for better underwriting.

In this issue, we have also interviewed several industry stalwarts, beginning from the likes of David Cross, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Oracle SaaS Cloud; James C. Foster, the
Chief Executive Officer of ZeroFOX, who shared their thoughts on the newest cybersecurity trends and the best practices that need to be established.
