Prabuddha Bharata or Awakened India magazine was started at the behest of Swami Vivekananda in 1896. It has completed 125 years of circulation in 2021. It is a monthly magazine of the Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission and is India's longest running English journal. The motto of the magazine is to bring millions sunk in darkness to the light Divine by bringing the truths of Sanatana Dharma to their doorstep. The universal teachings of Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita, Eastern and Western Philosophies, the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, Saints of all religions are some of the topics covered in the magazine.
