TIGER WOODS pledged to play better at next month's US Open after shooting a second-round 77 to miss the cut at the US PGA by eight shots.
But the 15-time Major champion has now failed to break par in 11 consecutive rounds in the Majors and says his greatest future "impact" will be off the course.
Woods, 48, made the cut for a record 24th consecutive time at the Masters but lacked sharpness in his only his third event of the year.
The world No.807 finished 19 shots off the halfway lead. The 2000 champion here is still struggling to regain his form and fitness following a February 2021 car crash.
But the American superstar, who next plans to play the US Open on June 13, said: "My game will get better. In time. I need to play more.
