Joey King has spent more of her life acting than she has not.
In case the reality of that fact hasn't hit you yet, let us repeat it once more - Joey King has spent more of her life acting than she has not. At just 22 years old, the actress has already dedicated 18 years of her life to her craft. And counting.
It started with a cereal commercial. At four years old, King got a national spot for Life Cer With her blo-wavy hair and bright blue eyes, she was the cherubic star of the 15-second video. And that was just the beginning.
At that age, everything about acting was exciting. You don't really understand the weight of it, and what exactly you're doing, King shares. It wasn't until the family comedy Ramona and Beezus in 2010 that she really felt it the responsibility of leading a movie. She adds, I remember thinking to myself, 'This is what I want to do for the rest of my life. And that feeling has never left me. There was never another consideration when it came to a career - for her, all roads led to acting, and the path ahead was straight and narrow. As King describes it, It's like a meditation. Being able to kind of just let everything go and focus so heavily on the task at hand between 'action' and 'cut'. It's amazing. And I really love playing all these different types of people. I'm never bored, that's for sure.
It might explain why she has been working non-stop ever since she started acting. With 70 credits to her name (as of press time), the actress has taken on all sorts of roles. But it was her role as the quirky and emotionally-driven teenager Elle Evans in the hugely popular romantic comedy The Kissing Booth that really propelled her to Hollywood fame as we know it.
