THE IDEA OF YOU NEW FROM THURSDAY 2 MAY, PRIME VIDEO DRAMA
Love can happen when you least expect it and age difference shouldn’t matter are the messages in Prime Video’s new romantic drama The Idea of You, based on the bestselling novel by actor/ author Robinne Lee.
Anne Hathaway, the Oscar-winning star of The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada and Les Misérables, plays Solène Marchand, a 40-year-old art- gallery owner, divorcée and single mother to teen daughter Izzy (Ella Rubin). When Solène’s unreliable ex-husband lets her down, she ends up taking Izzy and her friends to the Coachella music and arts festival in California, where the hottest boy band of the moment – August Moon – are playing.
Backstage, Solène meets the band’s charismatic lead singer Hayes Campbell – played by Mary & George’s Nicholas Galitzine – who, at 24, is almost 20 years her junior, and, to her surprise, they embark on an intense and clandestine affair. But when the reality of Hayes’ fame and their age gap bites, Solène must decide if she can continue the relationship.
TV Times joined Anne, 41, and Nicholas, 29, for a video interview to find out more…
