Сortina Watch celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2022, and Franck Muller has created a series of five pièces unique to mark the occasion. The Vanguard Revolution 3 Skeleton Cortina Watch 50th Anniversary Special Editions is a line of five timepieces based on the Vanguard Revolution 3 Skeleton. What is special this time are the bold splashes of colour on the watches, which match the sparkle of gems that adorn each timepiece.
Like previous iterations of the Revolution 3, the technical highlight here is obviously the oversized triple axis tourbillon positioned at six o'clock. Unlike "standard" tourbillons that rotate the balance about a single axis to compensate for the effects of gravity, this version does so on three different axes. The Revolution 3 was, in fact, the world's first tri-axial tourbillon when it was unveiled in 2004.
