There is no bigger design trend at the moment than the elevation of the great outdoors as an entertaining space. It speaks to how we all want to live - relaxed, comfortable, sociable. And central to this is the rise of the gas barbecue, evolving from a piece of kit that stays covered, to an integral hub that home lives are built around. The place we gather needs to look as good as the food it creates.
'Gas barbecues are convenient, efficient and ready in a flash,' says Dan Cooper, head grill master at Weber. If you want to be able to cook outside with relative ease, they certainly do the job. You can get cooking with simply a flick of a switch, which also gives you great control over the heat of the barbecue as if you were cooking on the hob.
