THE NAME EARTHEORIES is a direct translation from the Malay words ‘teori alam’, and it’s also a brand that started its journey into aroma care through Malay heritage recipes. The man behind this award-winning brand is Fadz Subari, who found his path after a particularly dark moment in his life. Augustman Malaysia sits down with him to learn more about his journey.
Tell us how you started Eartheories.
First I have to highlight that I actually started off in fragrances and cosmetics. That’s an important point because I then joined the entertainment industry for many years. But I would eventually burn out somewhere in 2018, and that’s when I felt the need to try many things so that I could reset.
I tried sound baths, ice baths, meditation, standing under the waterfall... the list goes on. But it was the world of scents that called to me. Some scents brought me back to my younger days, while other scents energised me, and that feeling made me want to pursue aromatherapy on a deeper level.
“ALWAYS REMEMBER WHY YOU START, AS THAT WILL BE THE ONLY THING TO KEEP YOU GOING. IF YOU’RE TIRED, TAKE A BREAK, BUT NEVER EVER STOP.”
