<p>The Kshatriya Sankalan Samiti on Thursday declared that it will halt the protest against Rajkot BJP candidate Parshottam Rupala until June 4, the day counting of votes will take place. The halt in the protest should be seen as a &ldquo;comma&rdquo; and not a &ldquo;full-stop&rdquo;, said samiti member Devendra Jadeja. Talking to Mirror,&nbsp;he said several communities extended support in boycotting Rupala and voting against him in the May 7 polling. &ldquo;We believe this will lead to Rupala&rsquo;s defeat when votes are counted on June 4,&rdquo; he added.</p>

<p>Jadeja further said, &ldquo;Today (Thursday) we had a meeting in Ahmedabad where it was unanimously decided that the core committee and affiliated organisations will decide whether to accept Rupala&rsquo;s apology or not after June 4.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Importantly, the meeting took exception to Shankersinh Vaghela&rsquo;s statement that the protest against Rupala is over. Vaghela is a respected&nbsp;person in our community but he cannot make any unilateral statement and decide the course of action.&rdquo;</p>
