'MEGA' MOMENTS FROM CANNES

After watching the ‘shocking’ scenes: a doctored sex tape starring Adam Driver, Shia LaBeouf in drag and seeing Aubrey Plaza walking past a slew of men — from the Francis Ford Coppola’s two hour and 20 minutes dystopian drama Megalopolis — the audience at Cannes was divided with its mixed bag reviews for the film.

And yet, the Oscar-winning Godfather director earned a huge respect from the audience — a four-minute standing ovation upon entering the room, which continued for three minutes after the credits rolled at the end of the film. Even as the fi lm confuses its audience and critics alike, there still remains a point that the fi lm will move beyond the red carpet and fi lm festivals to cinema houses, only for the name Francis Ford Coppola.
