VIRGIL VAN DIJK says he expects to play a part in Liverpool's transition despite little progress on his Anfield contract situation.
The Dutch defender has just one year left on his current deal, which has sparked speculation about his future on Merseyside.

Michael Edwards has also returned to a senior role, with Bournemouth's Richard Hughes arriving as sporting director at the end of the current season.
Van Dijk said: "We know things are happening but at this stage there has been no decision made (over the next manager).
