A BLOOD cancer sufferer has flown almost 5,000 miles to meet the British stem cell donor who helped to save his life.
Grateful Canadian Rod Neander travelled across the Atlantic to thank Tom Marshall, 30, who had signed the Anthony Nolan stem cell register when he was 18.
Grandfather-of-three Rod, who is in his early 60s, was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in 2018.
Tom, from Sheffield, South Yorks, donated stem cells at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in the city in April 2020.
