She said young wannabes on the talent show were often "brushed aside" after a brief spell in the spotlight.
The 71-year-old said it "wasn't right" to put youngsters under so much pressure.
Sharon said: "I was a judge on X Factor for years, but I'd never do a talent&nbsp;show again. Young people aren't mentally prepared for what's going to happen to them."
The mum-of-three, who had three spells as a judge on the show, along with five years on America's Got Talent, added: "It's not right to put kids through that pressure.
