Under an inspired ride from JJ Slevin, Joseph O'Brien's trainee found five lengths from the final fence to put his nose in front right on the line.
It was agony for Captain Guinness' supporters as Rachael Blackmore's mount mastered 11-10 favourite Dinoblue and seemed certain to score.
