AN emergency shelter at the top of Ben Nevis has been turned into a "dumping ground" by selfish tourists, hikers say.
They claim visitors have chucked bottles of urine, empty cans of booze and rotting food into the graffiticovered building on the UK's largest mountain.
The shelter is used by Lochaber Mountain Rescue to treat casualties as well as offering climbers a safe haven if they are caught in bad weather.
Iain Cameron shared a video of the "disgusting" mess, before it was cleared by adventurer Paul Arnott, 29, from Beds.

Paul said: "I went in there and it was absolutely filthy. It was a nightmare, there was rotten food, saturated clothes, bottles of bodily fluids, all sorts. It was absolutely disgusting." After clearing it he added: "It's a way of giving back to the mountains." Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team also slammed louts who trashed the facility in Scotland.
They said: "It's not for having lunch and it's not a rubbish bin or toilet."
