Find a little bit of downtime, lazing on a lounger in the garden with a chilled drink to hand, and organise your tech life. It will take a bit of time, but it's worth it for the inner calm. No more pinging notifications, an Instagram-worthy home screen, a faster device... what's not to like?
1 Declutter your device
Free up screen space and help your device to run more efficiently by deleting rarely used apps. Some phones will list apps you haven't used for a while, but it's easy to review them yourself. You can usually get rid of them from the home screen. Most apps can be uninstalled either with a long press and drag, or by tapping Remove.
2 Charge as you go
Battery drain can be a pain when you're away from home. Rather than spend time hunting down the next charging point, carry a small power bank (along with your charging cable if your phone doesn't charge wirelessly), so you can recharge anywhere. Try the BoostCharge power bank, £22.99, belkin.com/uk
