Ready to enjoy the warmer weather with a relaxing getaway? Before you book your vacation, use these travel pro-approved insider secrets to keeping cash in your wallet
4 sneaky ways to save big on a spring trip!

Snag the lowest airfare

Flying to your destination and want to be sure you're getting the lowest ticket price? Plan to fly on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. A review of domestic airfare prices by Google Flights reveals that these weekdays are 20% cheaper than flying on a weekend. "Flight pricing is all about supply and demand," says Kyle Potter, executive editor of travel and flight deal website ThriftyTraveler.com. Since more families go on vacation at the end of the week, airlines cut prices on earlier weekdays to fill seats. To save more: Once you find a great fare, book it, then take a day to look around for a better deal. Airlines must give you either 24 hours to cancel a flight or allow you to put a 24-hour "hold" on fares when you book at least seven days in advance of your departure. Notes Potter: "So, as long as you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you can get a full refund."

Foods that fix fat loss

Fed up with diets but still want to hit a healthier weight? Here's an amazing hack to try: Eat 30 different plants a week. Turns out, that's all it takes to radically improve your microbiome, the collection of 100 trillion microbes that call your body home. Current research, including some on identical twins, \"shows that the microbiome plays the biggest role in determining the number on the scale-bigger than carb intake, exercise or even calories,\" says nutrition expert Stephen Perrine, author of The Full-Body Fat Fix. Perrine adds that a 30-plant strategy boosts the microbiome fast, triggering rapid changes in bloat, energy, fat burn and overall health. Florida mom Vicki Sheerin even says increasing the variety of plants she eats was the key that allowed her to drop 227 pounds. Keep reading to learn how to make your own microbiome magic.
