“When I first joined Montblanc and visited the Villeret manufacture, I was struck by the richness and depth of the patrimony there. the manufacture is still housed in the original building where the Robert family founded what would become Minerva, and its heritage has been well preserved, from archives to old timepieces. what stood out especially was the first period of the manufacture’s history, from 1858 to 1940, when Minerva was going toe-to-toe with Heuer in the area of stopwatches and chronographs.
