MOTHER OF THE BRIDE FROM THURSDAY 9 MAY, NETFLIX COMEDY DRAMA

Dust off your fancy hats as wedding bells are ringing this week with the launch of Netflix’s new romantic comedy Mother of the Bride.

The glossy movie sees Hollywood star Brooke Shields play the titular character – loving mum Lana, who’s thrilled when her daughter, Emma (School of Rock’s Miranda Cosgrove), returns from a year abroad in London with the exciting news that she’s getting married on a tropical island. Only trouble is, the groom-to-be’s father is the man who broke Lana’s heart years ago!

‘Save the date – you’re invited to the mother of all destination weddings!’ says actor, author and model Brooke, whose 50-year screen career includes acclaimed sitcom Suddenly Susan (1996-2000).
