As part of our cover story, Gabriel Tabasco talks to illustrator SultanRoyale and his creations which he says are ‘drawing of his global crushes.’

Where did the instagram handle @SultanRoyale come from?
I’m from the Middle East and I love the glories and beauty of the past. I love the sexiness and power of sultans and the secrets of harems, the palaces, gardens and such,, so the name SultanRoyale came and stayed. 

How did you begin drawing? 
It was during the Covid lockdowns. I was bored, away from home and needed an outlet. I bought an iPad and began drawing. Since then I never looked back.

Greg Gould’s debut album of original material, Strings Attached, is an ambitious and emotionally charged journey through the landscape of contemporary Australian pop, spotlighting key social issues and underpinned by lush live strings. This is an independent Australian album that would hold its own on any major international label and showcases Gould’s powerful, soaring voice and his ability to communicate raw and honest emotions. He truly is one of the best male vocalists in this country.

Our Coverboy and feature this month is international singing sensation, John Duff. Thanks to Project Publicity and  Jamie Booth for being or friends from NYC.

John Duff’s first single off his yet untitled debut album, “Be Your Girl,” is a celebratory anthem from another time. Simultaneously harkening Tom Jones, Cher, and Frank Sinatra, “Be Your Girl” is equally fresh and familiar.  
 
Written by Duff, Eren Cannata (Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Demi Lovato), and Koil PreAmple (Timbaland, Danity Kane) the explosive disco number with its 1940’s inspired arrangement and top line is a romantic showstopper about unrequited love. Classic as it may sound, there’s a twist.

feat. Spanish Artist Ose del Sol - the art of masculine nudity. For almost 30 years Ose del Sol has dazzled the Art World and Art collectors with his genius interpretations of Spanish folklore, Greek inspired paintings and diversified art, all in the attempt to seek the beauty in art. Ose Del Sol is always on top of, and interested in the new technologies and possibilities for his next Art Projects. He is like a fountain of ideas and inspiration, where only the hours of the day sets a limit to his Creativity.

I am very proud to have this incredibly talented man on the cover of the May 2024 issue of Q Magazine. His story is as fabulous as his paintings - all in this months Q.
