It’s been quite the month for Ferrari. It’s a big month for Alfa Romeo fans in Auto Italia’s September issue. In a world exclusive story, we test drive the Alma Sprint, a superb new Alfasud Sprint 6C-inspired restomod made in Portugal. It’s a giant Alfa Romeo birthday this month: the famous Quadrifoglio badge turns 100 years old. We celebrate every Cloverleaf Alfa from 1923 right up to today’s Giulia Quadrifoglio. And our four-strong group test is a lucky charm for any Alfa fan, featuring the Alfasud Ti QV, 155 Q4, MiTo Cloverleaf and Giulia GTAm. It was 50 years ago that Ferrari put its first V8 engine in a road car - a great reason to celebrate with four generations of V8 Ferraris, from 308 GT4 to SF90. There’s much more Ferrari action this month with stories on triumph at Le Mans, driving a Purosangue and the 1963 250 GTE Le Mans pace car. Two classic car group tests make this month’s Auto Italia unmissable. It’s a truly huge moment for Ferrari this month, as our cover hints: the Purosangue is touted as a ‘true’ Ferrari, but is it really? This month’s Auto Italia is full of unique surprises. On UK roads, there’s just one Alfa Romeo Crosswagon Q4 (the all-wheel drive Alfa 156), and we’ve driven it, putting in back-to-back with an almost equally rare 33 4x4, 159 Q4 and Stelvio Quadrifoglio.
