Big, Wide, And Nasty by TONY MONCHINSKI
Eight-time champion Haney, six-timer Dorian Yates, and eight-time winner Ronnie Coleman each upped the ante in dorsal development, pushing the boundaries of what was possible (and what came to be expected) when we’re talking Olympia-level back building. The Mr Olympias since—Jay Cutler, Dexter Jackson, and Phil Heath—have built on and refined what the TotaLee Awesome One, the Shadow, and the Big Nasty ushered in.

Walk With Me by ANITA NIKOLICH
Shawn Rhoden’s social media feeds often contain inspirational sayings like, “Live each day to the fullest—no regrets, no could’ve, should’ve. In the end when your story is written, let it be known you did with all you got.”
If you’re the least bit cynical, you might roll your eyes at such sentiments and wait until some juicier piece of training advice comes along. However, if you’ve ever spoken to Rhoden at a bodybuilding expo or after a guest posing at a local show, you’ll see that his entire attitude and the way he lives his life closely align with those motivational sayings. Rhoden’s meteoric rise from making IFBB pro in 2009 to placing in the top three at the 2012 Mr Olympia in just three short years should be testament enough to that fact. Once he sets his mind to something, it’ll happen. This philosophy has allowed him to transform his physique in just a few short years.

Breaking Bad by DAVID SANDLER
There are hundreds of possible issues that could reduce the effects of your training programme. You’ve likely run the gamut, from feeling under the weather to a specific workout-limiting injury to a busy schedule, that’s kept you out of the gym. Unfortunately, there aren’t any magic remedies for those kinds of issues. But if you’re experiencing setbacks from training-related issues, the miracle cure is sitting right in front of you. Most often, you’ve either pushed too hard or not hard enough. At times you’ve dropped off training and yet other times you just simply failed to do something that you should have. It’s time to break your bad, and put some good back in to your programme.
