In this issue
This issue is not just a magazine that celebrates collaborations, but the magazine itself is collaborative effort. Let me start with the cover feature. For our cover feature Architect, Artist and Designer Ashiesh Shah, a pioneer of sorts when it comes to collaborations, and Interior Designer Vinita Chaitanya, engage in an interesting conversation about their friendship, their partnerships with brands, designers and the community at large. But the conversation got really interesting when we roped in Portland-based digital artist Reshidev RK to illustrate the cover. We couldn’t shoot, thanks to the semi-lockdown situation, but we collaborated. Perhaps it was meant to be. After all, the issue is all about “Collaborations” From artist Yinka Illori’s teaming up with Lego, Sir David Adjaye’s partnership with Aston Martin, to couturiers Shantanu Nikhil joining hands with carpet brand Obeetee and Architect Rooshad Shroff’s The Gyaan Project, the issue highlights some of the most intriguing synergies in the world of design.
