आईसीसी टी20 क्रिकेट वर्ल्ड कप 2024 का आगाज भारतीय समयानुसार 2 जून से होगा, जिसका फाइनल 29 जून को खेला जाएगा. आईसीसी के आगामी मेजर टूर्नामेंट की मेजबानी संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका (USA) और वेस्टइंडीज करेंगे. टी20 विश्व कप का यह नौवां संस्करण है और इसमें कुल 20 टीमें हिस्सा ले रही हैं. इसका सबसे पहला सीजन 2007 में में खेला गया था, जिसका खिताब भारतीय टीम ने महेंद्र सिंह धोनी की कप्तानी में जीता था. इसके बाद से मैन इन ब्लू इस फॉर्मेट की ट्रॉफी नहीं जीत पाई है.

दिग्गज विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज महेंद्र सिंह धोनी की कप्तानी में चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स ने पांचवीं बार इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग का खिताब अपने नाम किया. इसी के साथ पीली जर्सी वाली टीम ने सबसे ज्यादा टाइटल जीतने के मामले में मुंबई इंडियंस (5 आईपीएल खिताब) के रिकॉर्ड की बराबरी भी कर ली. स्टार ऑलराउंडर रविंद्र जडेजा ने चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स की खिताबी जीत में अहम योगदान दिया. उन्होंने गुजरात टाइटन्स के खिलाफ फाइनल मैच में तेज गेंदबाज मोहित शर्मा के आखिरी ओवर में कुछ दर्शनीय शॉट्स खेलकर अपनी टीम को शानदार फतेह दिलाई. सीएसके आईपीएल इतिहास की सबसे सफलतम टीमों में से एक है, जिसकी अगुवाई पहले संस्करण से धोनी करते आ रहे हैं.

गुजरात टाइटन्स ने अपने डेब्यू इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग संस्करण में ही खिताब जीतकर सनसनी फैला दी थी. दिग्गज ऑलराउंडर हार्दिक पांड्या की कप्तानी वाली जीटी ने आईपीएल 2022 का टाइटल अपने कब्ज़े में लिया था. अब यह सवाल उठता है कि क्या गुजरात की टीम लगातार दो बार आईपीएल का खिताब जीतने वाली तीसरी टीम बन पाएगी या नहीं. 

डियन प्रीमियर लीग 2023 की शुरुआत 31 मार्च से होने जा रही है. यह इस टूर्नामेंट का 16 वां संस्करण होगा. इस सीजन का पहला मुकाबला डिफेंडिंग चैंपियंस गुजरात टाइटन्स और चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के बीच अहमदाबाद के नरेंद्र मोदी स्टेडियम में खेला जाएगा. इस बार कुल 70 लीग मैच और फाइनल समेत चार मुकाबले प्लेऑफ में होंगे. यानी कुल 74 मैच टूर्नामेंट में खेले जाएंगे. फाइनल मुकाबला 28 मई को आयोजित होगा. इससे पहले सभी टीमों ने अपनी-अपनी तैयारियां पूरी कर ली हैं और अब इंतज़ार है, भारत के सबसे बड़े घरेलू टी20 महाकुंभ में अपनी किस्मत आज़माने का. आईपीएल 2023 में भाग ले रहीं सभी 10 टीमें बेहद संतुलित नज़र आ रही हैं. हालांकि, हर टीम किसी न किसी विभाग में मजबूत है, तो कहीं न कहीं कमजोरी भी दिखाई दे रही है.

भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के स्टार विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज केएल राहुल पिछले काफी समय से खराब फॉर्म से जूझ रहे हैं. ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ चार मुकाबलों की मौजूदा टेस्ट सीरीज के शुरूआती दो टेस्ट में भी उनका बल्ला बिलकुल भी नहीं चल पाया. इतना ही नहीं, वे अपनी खराब फॉर्म के बावजूद सीरीज के बाकी दो टेस्ट के लिए भी भारतीय टीम में बने हुए हैं. हालांकि, उन्हें टेस्ट की उपकप्तानी से हटा दिया गया है.

भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच चार मुकाबलों की टेस्ट सीरीज का पहला मैच 9 फरवरी से नागपुर में खेला जाएगा. इसका दूसरा मैच 17 से 21 फरवरी तक दिल्ली में, तीसरा 1 से 5 मार्च तक धर्मशाला में और चौथा 9 से 13 मार्च तक अहमदाबाद में आयोजित होगा. आईसीसी विश्व टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप के मद्देनजर यह टेस्ट सीरीज बेहद अहम होगी. ऐसे में दोनों टीमों की कोशिश डब्ल्यूटीसी 2023 के फाइनल में जगह बनाने की होगी. यह भी सच है कि हमेशा की तरह इस बार भी भारत में स्पिन पिच देखने को मिलेंगी. इस दौरान मेजबानों की तरफ से रविचंद्रन अश्विन और कंगारुओं की ओर से नाथन लियोन मुख्य भूमिका में नज़र आएंगे.

साल 2023 के शुरुआती सप्ताह में मुंबई में आयोजित हुई भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड की समीक्षा मीटिंग में इस साल घरेलू सरज़मीं पर खेले जाने वाले आईसीसी वनडे वर्ल्ड कप के लिए 20 खिलाड़ियों को शॉर्टलिस्ट किया गया है. 50-50 ओवर वाला आईसीसी विश्व कप भारत में खेला जाएगा. 1987, 1996 और 2011 के आयोजनों की सह-मेजबानी करने के बाद पहली बार भारत पूरी तरह से वनडे वर्ल्ड कप को होस्ट करेगा. यह टूर्नामेंट अक्टूबर-नवंबर में होगा. हालांकि, अभी तक इसका शेड्यूल फाइनल नहीं हुआ है

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2023 की मिनी नीलामी का आयोजन 23 दिसंबर को केरल राज्य के कोच्चि शहर में हुआ, जिसमें कई खिलाड़ियों की किस्मत चमकी, तो कई प्लेयर्स को कोई खरीदार नहीं मिला. इस दौरान 405 खिलाड़ियों के नाम नीलामी में शामिल थे. सूची में कई दिग्गज ऐसे भी रहे, जिनके नाम पर बोली लगनी चाहिए थी, लेकिन वे अनसोल्ड रहे. वहीं, इंग्लैंड के स्टार ऑलराउंडर सैम करन ने इतिहास रच दिया. सैम आईपीएल की हिस्ट्री में सबसे महंगे बिकने वाले खिलाड़ी बने. उन्हें पंजाब किंग्स ने 18.50 करोड़ रूपये में खरीदा.

स्टार विकेटकीपर बल्लेबाज दिनेश कार्तिक आईपीएल के मौजूदा संस्करण में काफी शानदार लय में नजर आ रहे हैं. इस सीजन आरसीबी का प्रतिनिधित्व कर रहे कार्तिक एक फिनिशर का रोल निभाते दिखाई दे रहे हैं. सेलेक्टर्स की मौजूदा पसंद पंत, ईशान और सैमसन और ये तीनों 36 साल के दिनेश की तुलना में कम उम्र के हैं और तो और राहुल ने भी हाल के दिनों में विकेटकीपिंग की थी. अब देखने वाली बात यह होगी कि क्या कार्तिक आने वाले समय में नीले जर्सी वाली टीम में वापसी कर पाते हैं या नहीं?    

महेंद्र सिंह धोनी ने हाल ही में चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स टीम की कप्तानी छोड़ दी. इसके बाद फ्रेंचाइजी ने रविंद्र जडेजा को अपनी टीम का कप्तान नियुक्त किया.धोनी चाहते तो इस सीजन के बाद कप्तानी छोड़ते और रिटायरमेंट का ऐलान भी कर सकते थे, लेकिन उन्होंने जडेजा के नेतृत्व में खेलने का फैसला लिया यानी धोनी विकेट के पीछे से जडेजा को सपोर्ट करते रहेंगे. ऐसे में सवाल उठता है कि क्या धोनी के कप्तानी छोड़ने से एक युग का अंत हो गया है?

IPL की शुरुआत 26 मार्च से होगी, जहां पहले मुकाबले में CSK और KKR आमने सामने होंगी. इस बार के सीजन में 10 टीमें हिस्सा ले रही हैं. इन टीमों के किसी डिपार्टमेंट में अगर मजबूती है तो वहीं, अन्य विभाग में कमजोरी भी है. हालांकि, सभी फ्रेंचाइजीस की कोशिश अपनी टीम को संतुलित बनाने की रही है. अब टीम की ताकत और कमजोरी का तो पता तब ही चलेगा, जब वे 26 मार्च से मैदान पर उतरेंगी.

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग के 15वें संस्करण की शुरुआत इस साल मार्च के अंतिम सप्ताह में हो सकती है. हालांकि, भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI) ने अब तक कार्यक्रम रिलीज़ नहीं किया है. इससे पहले आईपीएल मेगा नीलामी का आयोजन 12 और 13 फरवरी को बैंगलोर में होगा.  इस नीलामी में खिलाड़ियों के लिए सबसे ज्यादा बेस प्राइस कैटेगरी 2 करोड़ रुपये है. कुल 17 भारतीय और 31 विदेशी खिलाड़ी 2 करोड़ रुपये के बेस प्राइस में शामिल हैं. बहुप्रतीक्षित मेगा नीलामी में कुल 10 फ्रैंचाइजी - चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स, दिल्ली कैपिटल्स, मुंबई इंडियंस, कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स, पंजाब किंग्स, राजस्थान रॉयल्स, रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर, सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद, लखनऊ सुपर जायंट्स और गुजरात टाइटंस टीम शामिल होंगी.

करीब 200 करोड़ रुपये की लागत के साथ रिलीज हुई रणवीर सिंह और दीपिका पादुकोण स्टारर फिल्म ‘83’ को जिसने भी देखा, अधिकतर ने इसकी तारीफ ही की. रणवीर सिंह ने कपिल देव की भूमिका अदा की है तो वहीं, उनकी रियल वाइफ दीपिका पादुकोण ने रोमी देव के रूप में रील वाइफ का रोल निभाया है. इसके अलावा ताहिर भसीन ने सुनील गावस्कर का, साकिब सलीम ने मोहिन्दर अमरनाथ का, चिराग पाटिल ने संदीप पाटिल का किरदार निभाया है. इतना ही नहीं, बाकी खिलाड़ी को लेकर भी कई स्टार कास्ट ने इसमें रोल किया है.
