Pagani can arguably be credited with the creation of the original hypercar more than 25 years ago, and in this issue, we look back at Pagani’s lineup of hand-crafted supercars in our 34-page celebration of the carmaker. This special includes a drive of the V12-powered Pagani Utopia that packs in more than 800bhp – along with our experience behind the wheel of the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC and the Huayra Codalunga. While these Huayra-based specials might take a contrasting experience from each other when it comes to delivering driving thrills, both the hypercars are united by the fact that they are madly exotic, incredibly rare and eye-wateringly valuable – sitting at the top of the Pagani pecking order. And we got to drive both of them! We also had an exclusive interview with Horacio Pagani himself, and the man reflected upon his company’s journey so far, with a clear vision for the future.

Back to the July ’24 issue — the magazine is headlined by the Porsche Taycan India relay. This was a record attempt of epic proportions, where a fleet of Taycans drove the Golden Quadrilateral to set the record for the fastest EV relay drive. It was a logistical challenge, tested our endurance (we didn’t stop for anything except car swaps!), and challenged the notion that India isn’t ready for performance electric cars.

Ferrari's latest creation, the 12Cilindri, is a breathtaking tribute to the timeless allure of pure V12 power. With a design inspired by iconic Ferrari models of the past, including the legendary 365 GTB/4 Daytona, the 12Cilindri takes us back to the time when V12 reigned the supercar world shunning turbos and batteries altogether. We’re back to smashing records again! The April 2024 issue of evo India is headlined by our epic record-setting adventure in Volkswagen’s Virtus and Taigun. We’ve smashed the national record for the most distance covered in 24 hours in the Virtus GT and set over 300 other records in the process. This truly showcased the strengths of Indian manufacturing and German engineering, with the 1.5-litre TSI-quipped Virtus smashing a record set by an SUV with a larger 2-litre engine. Driving for 24 hours non-stop with breaks only to fuel up and 
swap drivers is incredibly strenuous on both man and machine. This is a tale of perseverance, grit and pushing through adversity to come out on top.

Headlining the March 2024 issue of evo India is the latest and which now boasts a massive 656bhp and a 0-100kmph time of 3.5sec. We then introduce to you the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, the battle-ready version of the new Vantage ready to take on rivals at various GT championships around the year. We have also got reviews of several facelifts that have come out this month. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 is the first, followed by the Land Rover Discovery Sport, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Nissan Z Nismo. Taking you back into the past, we reminisce about the W124 E-class, the first locally produced Mercedes-Benz in India. Plus, there are excerpts from author Steve Saxty’s latest book, ‘BMW by Design’ which gives you a never-seen-before look into BMW models. On two wheels, we’ve gotten astride the all-new Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Xtreme 125R and the Matter Aera 5000+. The California Superbike School returned to India, and we took the opportunity to brush up our riding skills. In our Motorsports section, you will get a deep dive into what the Indian Supercross Racing League is and how the first season of the league went down.

The SF90 XX Stradale is the first street-legal XX car to come out of the Ferrari stables, which until now meant ultra-exclusive track-only models. Updates over the standard SF90 Stradale (which was already ridiculously fast with its 1000bhp V8 hybrid powertrain) include more power, stiffer suspension, better aero, lightweighting and more. To test just how wild the XX is, Ferrari invited us to their Fiorano test track. Also at Fiorano, we drove the legendary Ferrari 308 GTB and a 365 GTB/4 Daytona, a perfect contrast to the XX on the previous pages.
We also have reviews for the Bentley Bentayga EWB, Hyundai Creta, Tata Punch EV, Range Rover Evoque and Toyota GR Yaris Gen 2. We dive deep into the upcoming Alpine A290 EV hot hatch which promises to bring back affordable hot hatches and the 1991 Le Mans winner Mazda 787B, diving into details about its chassis, aero, engine, brakes and more. Maruti Suzuki Jimny or Mahindra Thar? That’s the big question we are asking in the August issue of evo India by taking the 4x4s on road, off-road and even to the drag strip. The latest issue puts the Maruti Suzuki Jimny in the spotlight. While the Jimny was launched internationally in 2018 and even production in India started in 2021 for exports, the domestic market didn’t get it. Earlier this year, Maruti unveiled the 5-door Jimny at Auto Expo along with an announcement that the Jimny is finally coming to India, carrying forward the legacy of the Gypsy. In what is possibly evo India’s biggest and most incredible story yet, we get aboard the INS Vikrant, India’s first indigenous air craft carrier. We also got an opportunity to drive down the flight deck with the Mahindra XUV700, XUV300 and Scorpio-N. INS Vikrant is a magnificent testament to make-in-India and to kick off the 7000km Sam No Varuna coastal drive, we have taken three made-in-India SUVs on board the flight deck. This is a story of epic proportions, where we got up and personal with a mega feat of Indian engineering, and the brave men and women that serve on board the carrier. It isn’t often that we don’t have cars on the cover of the magazine, but this is something extra special. 
In this issue, we have also undertaken the epic K2K record run in the Tata Nexon EV where we drove 4000km from Srinagar to Kanyakumari in less than four days. We have reviews of the new Hyundai Verna, Toyota Hilux, Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica, Tata Harrier Red Dark and BMW M4 manual. We get a first look at the new Lamborghini Revuelto, while taking a look back the Volkswagen XL1 and Peugeot’s Le Mans icons. With the Indian summer on the rise, we’ve driven some of the hottest performance SUVs on offer,
starting off with the Purosangue – the first-ever SUV from Ferrari in the snow-capped Dolomite

The  Porsche Cayman GT4 RS is a melting pot of some epic ingredients. The sublime mid-engined chassis of the 718-gen Cayman, the unhinged motorsport-derived 4.0 flat-six engine from the 911 GT3, lightweighting and aerodynamics from the hallowed GT department. Together they deliver a driving experience that is near incomparable to anything else out there. Launched in India late last year, we have driven a highly specced example on Indian roads in an attempt to find out if it is the greatest Porsche, nay the greatest sportscar, off all time. With incredible numbers, but more importantly, incredible sensations delivered to the driver, this car truly delivers on the Thrill of Driving.

It’s that time of the year again, where we bring together the finest enthusiast cars that we have driven over the last year, and hit the road for the ultimate test — evo Car of the Year. We’re ending 2022 seeing red — the stunning Ferrari Daytona SP3 headlines the December issue of the magazine. If there’s any brand that has a rich legacy to leverage, it is Ferrari. Born to race, its road cars have always been an extension of the race programme and never the other way around — an attempt to fund the racing activities. The SP3 draws its legacy from Ferrari’s most tumultuous time in endurance racing, the 1960s. Having dominated the early bit of the decade, Ferrari faced the challenge from Ford and we know how that ended. The super exclusive SP3 tries to encapsulate the ethos of those race cars — the P3, the P4 — in a cutting edge, modern package. We have a go at it on road and track. 
Picking up from there, we also look in to Ferrari’s highs and lows in racing through the ’60s and also drive the 296 GTB to Le Mans and understand more about its endurance racing aspirations. We’ve reviewed a slew of new SUVs this month — the Audi Q3, Mercedes-Benz GLB and EQB, BMW X7 facelift, BYD Atto 3 and Jeep Grand Cherokee, not to mention the much awaited Toyota Innova HyCrosss. We head out on an epic road trip in the Hyundai Tucson to the Himalayas, have a go in Audi’s Dakar challenger, drive Hyundai’s concept EVs, and take to the track with Audi’s RS cars. 
On two wheels, we attend the two biggest festivals of the year — India Bike Week and Ridermania, get astride TVS Racing’s most advanced race bike yet and review a couple of new electric scoots.

The November issue of evo India has the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S fully sideways — not an uncommon sight on the cover of this magazine but this is different. This isn’t any old sideways shot, but this is the A 45 S on its way in to the India Book of Records for holding the longest drift by a 4-wheeler in India. With editor Sirish Chandran behind the wheel and running on Vredestein tyres, this little AWD monster put its drift mode to good use, sliding constantly for a whole 10 minutes and 23 seconds to set this new national record. What follows is an epic story which you do not want to miss.
