Autocar India Magazine - November 2014
In this issue
This month in Autocar India, we’ve driven Honda’s new Jazz. When it comes to India next year it’ll be armed with a diesel engine and a much better price, so does it have what it takes to fix its predecessors mistakes? Fiat’s retro hatchback, the 500, is making a comeback in sporty ‘Abarth 595 Competizione’ guise, and we’ve got some exclusive time behind the wheel. And speaking of sporty, there’s also our first impressions of Mercedes’ new 355bhp GLA 45 AMG – hot on the heels of its more conventional siblings. Maruti is also all set to launch the much awaited K10 version of its best-selling Alto hatchback, which we’ve also driven this month. We’ve also done extensive road tests of the Audi A3 and the new Mahindra Scorpio, which we’ve also compared it to its direct rival, the Tata Safari Storme. Sticking with comparisons, Fiat’s new Avventura crossover has been compared with the Ford EcoSport, while we’ve also played a game of ‘spot the difference’ in a comparison between the facelifted Skoda Rapid and VW Vento – both with new diesel engines and DSG gearboxes. On top of this, we’ve got epic road trips, great drivers’ roads, a couple of exotic new motorcycles, plenty of scoops and lots of news from the world of motorsport. This is an issue you simply have to check out.
department, we bring our first ride experiences for the Triumph Thunderbird LT and the Moto Morini Scrambler.
