Progress is impossible without change…..

Let me start with thanking our readers for supporting and accepting the 1st edition of IBJA Times. New times demand new things and our jewellery trade too follows the same train of thoughts. We live in the midst of various social, economic as well as political transformations and these times call for changes are necessary for any trade for its growth and success. GST is one such policy which that will integrate the economy and provide for a common national market.

GST for gold has been fixed at 3 per cent and the making charges have been curbed to 5 per cent by the govt, which is a praiseworthy decision by our govt and we welcome the move. It is a breath easy for the jewellers and IBJA had played a vital role and had requested the Govt to keep the same tax structure. There will be many query and clarifications with regard to GST, therefore don’t miss ‘FAQ on GST’ segment in this issue.

Our regular columns like news, special reports will keep you updated and the gallery will be a visual treat, so don’t miss your copy and read on. We welcome your suggestions and feedbacks.

Enjoy your read…..
