The key word of 2020 so far is COVID-19. The seemingly unstoppable virus is claiming not only human lives but also affecting our lifestyles. Furthermore, the virus has brought travel to its knees and, with it, Baselworld and Watches & Wonders edition 2020. The former is postponed to January of 2021 whereas the latter is cancelled. Already, in recent times, World of Watches has had several invitations to watch launch events overseas cancelled due to preventive measures. It is not an easy time and already sales of timepieces in our region have seen a drop. Local events are not spared as well with postponements or cancellations of public parties and soirées.
