I just received my bill from Meralco, and it’s the highest it’s
been in two years. I’m not certain if the electric company’s
raised its rates, or if I just lost track of my air conditioner
use, or perhaps, abuse is the better word, since it’s been
chugging along almost 24/7 this past month. It’s been a
sweltering summer after all, with heat indices reaching record
levels nationwide.
Times like this, the best thing to do, really, is to hibernate
in a cold room, chill with the latest on Netflix, and add
even more comfort in the form of a favorite food: a scoop
