With demand of popular watches outstripping supply, Patek Philippe has taken great pains to announce that “there’s no star” coinciding with the release of their new Nautilus (p. 34). Understanding that some timepieces have become commoditised, we talked to world renowned retailer-collector Laurent Picciotto about how he sold 95% of his collection and somehow ended up collecting only Bulgari Octo Finissimos (p. 88).
