I view the camera simply as a mechanical tool to gather information about the subject while my job as a photographer is to insure that as much raw information ends up inside the photograph as possible. Once the photo is shot, the work of processing begins in Photoshop, the modern equivalent of a darkroom. I use all the tools available in that great processing program to bring the somewhat primitive image-gathering abilities of even the best camera into line with how i recall the flower actually looks.
