In this issue

Each year, with our members and mission statement in mind, we embark on the publication of a student-to-student guide to the medical residency application process. This year we are proud to bring you the third edition of the “residency guide”. As always, we craft the guide to give you a student perspective on how to approach the residency application process with an special emphasis on the needs of Hispanic medical students. The guide highlights important steps such as the completion of the electronic application, interviewing skills and tips, important deadlines, and relevant statistics about Hispanic medical residents and students. A truly unique favorite of our guide is the personal advice and tips offered by LMSA members across the U.S., who have recently completed the residency application process. This has become a staple of the guide offering pearls of wisdom from those who have been through it all.
