Return of the King? - For several decades, the BMW M5 defined what a sports sedan should be. It was big enough to carry the family, was absolutely driver focused while offering enough luxury to allow owners to justify its premium price. As time went on, a desire for a larger customer base meant sacrifices in multiple areas. After losing touch with what the car once was, BMW has ironically turned to technology in an effort to steer the M5 back toward its roots. We traveled to the South of France to try out the latest version to see if it does indeed have everything we expect, while also being mainstream friendly enough to fuel the record demand for super sedans.
