This month’s theme is music. The entire issue is focused around music. There are two reasons why we chose music as the August focus. The  rst reason is because of our great love for music and the belief that it is a universal language that connects people around the world. The second reason is because we have organically encountered some very eclectic and innovative artist, who, just so happen to be just as phenomenal of people as they are musically gifted. We wanted to give a different spin on it by introducing the world to artist who, are pioneers and trendsetters. So relax, grab a drink of choice and begin reading this month’s Boss Mann issue.

It has been a long time coming, but I can finally present another round of marvelous individuals. On this issue, we bring you a group of Southern California natives covering cities from Long Beach, CA, up north to Palmdale, CA, and everything in between. I am incredibly proud of this issue - I have been involved in 29 out of 31 BOSS MANN published issues, and this one, by far, was the hardest to complete. I have struggled through many issues that made this very difficult to complete, but I am grateful for the end result. This issue is a tribute to the strength and resilience of the human spirit, and I hope it inspires others to never give up on their dreams. In our January 2021 issue, we bring you J Young MDK as our main cover; while all people selected to be part of this project are cover-worthy, we chose Jermaine Carter A.k.a J Young MDK because of the change he brings to his industry. Despite discovering his health condition dealing with diabetes, he didn’t allow his condition to affect his overall goals. Jermaine dropped two albums, two music genres, on the same day, and he has dropped three albums within the last three months.  Jermaine understood what he was dealing with, took the necessary precautions, and followed all medical advice to the point where he can go back to everyday life within his health condition.  He took it a step further by becoming an advocate for a diabetes organization to bring awareness. We get you Shavonne Cantrell’s story as an entrepreneur teaching her daughters how to own their businesses.  Eleven DMU makes a stop as well to tell us about his new project demonstrating his musical talent. Deonna Nichole and Shaun Stephens bring us their modeling/acting testimonies. Scott Howard, via Rachel Dares PR, enlightened us with his purpose to heal people through music frequencies. Last but not least, artist Mark Celentano via our creative director Parris Harris made a quick stop for a brief interview with Boss Mann magazine.

Mike Peele is a fitness athlete/content creator influencer born in Brooklyn, NY but raised in Detroit, MI. Mike started a movement called “Hip Hop Fit”. Mike’s program is one of Los Angeles’s top dance/fitness workout classes; due to COVID-19 pandemic, it currently runs on YouTube, and it has accumulated a total of 154,000 subscribers with multiple thousand views per video drop. Mike’s class consists of a high energy dance class and addicting dance moves anyone can follow. Mike’s Hip Hop Fit class burns at least 300 calories with up to 1000+ calories per session; it also helps build a toned body and push your mind and body to the next level. A great thing to point out about Hip Hop Fit is that it makes sure nobody feels judged, and everyone is welcome to take the class from beginner to advanced fitness. Reaching fitness goals and committing to a new and improved lifestyle is Hip Hop Fit’s goal. Mike’s program came from a place of love as he wanted to instill his passion for dance and fitness. While people get so much out of Hip-Hop Fit’s program, Mike shared with Boss Mann Magazine how rewarding it is to see people connect with others right away, friendships, and relationships have come from these dance workout sessions.

The year 2020 has brought us hardship and adversity, but all of our quandaries and barriers have only made us stronger. Every hardship, disappointment, and heartache only planted the seed in us to shape our character to make us stronger. Not disregarding the social injustices and health issue pandemic we are experiencing, during the month of July, we bring you uplifting stories of women making a difference in their lives. Women so strong they are willing to be vulnerable so that others can learn from their life experiences.

Our journalist, Taylor King, interviewed the fabulous Shay Johnson @iamshayjohnson from Love & Hip-Hop Miami. From reality star to businesswoman, Shay Johnson sat down with Boss Mann Magazine as she shared her off-camera life journey and the importance of spreading health wellness and fibroid awareness. We interviewed the fantastic Cheryl Cobb, author of the groundbreaking book “10 Dirty Lil secrets: That Nobody Wants to Tell You about the Entertainment Industry”. Cheryl is also a dominant figure in the entertainment business as an executive in American Idol show, molding careers, and managing a multiple grammy award-winning artist.

In the February issue, we bring you a legend in the making out of Queens, New York. Shiggy from social media “The Shiggy Show” sat down with us to have an interview that felt like a therapy session, according to him. We talked about life, social media, perseverance, and 2020 goals. We also interviewed Attorney Byron J. Abron, who shared his unique story coming out of Compton, CA. A familiar face to BossMann, International designer Marcquise “Q” Anderson shared his story and gave us an update on his international success. Another great story out of Los Angeles comes via University Pathways Public Service Academy. Principal Amen Rahh has been building a high school program that will yield huge returns on investment with his everyday efforts.

We begin a new decade with high hopes and dreams, the year 2020 seems to have magical powers, and it is evident from all the social media references that people genuinely believe in making leaps and bounds this year.  The year 2020 has a nice ring to it, and we at Boss Mann wish you the best of luck in surpassing any goals set for this new year and the new decade.  Positive thoughts and high energy play a significant factor in successful people, our theme “We become what we think about” comes from all the inspiring stories we bring to you in this issue.  Starting with Daniel “Booby” Gibson, a former NBA player, who talks to us about his life experience playing professional basketball, and now dealing with the music industry. Hailing from Houston, Texas, to the big leagues was a journey well documented.  JOHNBORN allowed us to enter his ultra-creative space to share his remarkable story.
J Young MDK, who is an Atlanta-based actor & hip hop artist, talks to us about his newest album executive produced by Jamie Foxx. Ronnie “RYU” Rogers gives us an incredible story of perseverance. Chad Watson, the unimpressible, inspires us with his musical talents and much more.

The much anticipated Boss Woman issue is finally here! We produced Marsha’s photoshoot back in July; on our end, it was tough to hold on to such a great story and images. Marsha Ambrosius sat with us to discuss part of her life. It was such a blessing to be able to share her story with our platform. In this issue, we introduce Taylor King, our staff journalist. Taylor was able to bring us a couple of compelling stories. She interviewed Malissa Miles, who is on a journey to bring awareness to mental health injustices; her passion for fighting for people’s rights is unmatched. Taylor also talked to Fashion designer Tesha Ofelia who was diagnosed with cancer but continues to push forward in life and is not giving up on her dreams. Dr. John A. Nelson brings us another great write up about serving of gratitude this Thanksgiving season, the Thanksgiving holiday is known for creating opportunities where individuals and families can freely express gratitude

On the September issue, we introduce to you a multitude of great stories, Legend Al “Boogie” Roberson’s grudge racing record-breaking career despite having only one arm is so incredible to see. Boss Mann’s first Piano player/composer/writer, French Fuller out of West Texas talks to us about his music career.  Our cover story Actor/Filmmaker/screenwriter & Musician Lewis T. Powell gave us an interview that can change your outlook in life. We talked about everything he has going on in his career, plus we also made it a point to get to know him on a deeper level, and he blessed us with his incredible responses.  Quentin (Q) Harris will make you question your work ethic once you know how much he has going for him, nobody is working harder than Quentin in Atlanta, GA.  Thomas Orlina and Malia Baldovi give us a refreshing look at reality TV content, the Los Angeles dynamic duo do it just right.

In our July 2019 edition, we focus on futuristic vibes, having spent time with Roshon Fegan gave us a whole new vibe, getting to know him was very easy as he carries a humble spirit and a very passionate dedication to his entire brand. We bring you the multi-talented Roshon to the cover of Boss Mann. He brings a complete package of music, acting, and dancing to his platform and brand. He also shared his clothing line “Elevated Vizionares Only,” which also made the cover of Boss Mann Magazine. Award-winning fashion designer Adrian Alicea brings us extraordinary fashion from the Bronx; his precise execution of style is unparalleled. Actor Jay Hunter from the OWN television drama series Tyler Perry’s “If Loving you is Wrong” makes an appearance to give us an update and answer a few questions we had for him. Montee Holland from the Tayion Collection also stopped by to let us know about his experience at the Macy’s diversity retail-vendor development program.

In this edition, we touch on organizations that monitor police brutality and misconduct, Rodney W. Jacobs, Jr. certainly walks the talk when helping out his Miami, FL community.  Thai “THAIGA” Edwards out of Chicago opened up and gave us a powerful testimony about his life dealing with adversity and how he overcame those obstacles, we have a video interview prepared for you that will leave you inspired, stay tuned for the release. A fellow Chicago native Marseil Jackson talked to us about the numerous actions he is taking to bring his community closer. LockWest put Lynwood, CA on the map along with his VYBE JUNKII movement. He was genuine with his experience as an entertainer in the music industry.

Hello Boss  Family! We write to you this issue with a mix of emotions. It is our annual boss woman issue. This makes the second year and second time we are featuring the female bosses that are out there. The boss woman issue is always a different energy because working with majority women instead of men comes with its diversity of production elements. An example of this is having to coordinate so many hairstylists and makeup artist. I must say it is a fun time working with more elements and the nurturing energy of women. We have been blessed to work with some of the most amazing women out there. In this issue, we provide you with more incredible women of purpose and strength.

exciting one. The Boss Mann puts a great deal of thought into our magazine themes, content,
and imagery. It is important to us that our readers, as well as our featured talent, gains access to
substance through the Boss Mann publication. We categorize substance as anything that will add
personal growth, knowledge, inspiration, healing, and education to individuals lives. We have to stay
abreast of current events, diversified research, necessary tools, and people who are making history
with their actions in order to accomplish this. 

Hello Boss Mann family.  As always, it is a pleasure for us to address you once again and share the current Boss Mann publication. This month’s theme is titled; Things are heating up. We choose this theme because we literally feel and have seen things heat up temperature wise, but we are also seeing and feeling things heat up in our country as it relates to social and political climates. I must say it has been an interesting and intriguing thing to see the moves our government has been making since the departure of the Obama Administration and the arrival of the Trump Administration. Also, interesting is seeing so many of our fellow countrymen live in a state of confusion regarding their political position. I have had some people express their concerns, fears, and disappointments with our government while others have expressed their joy, satisfaction, and admiration on this same topic.

Hats off to 2018! As the first Boss Mann Magazine of 2018, we are filled with excitement and inspiration. This month's theme is called Time to Love. We chose this theme because Valentine's Day is known as the holiday of love and it is in the month of February, It is Black History month where we celebrate the love and contributions of the African-American race here in America but also with the consideration of the current social climate in our world, love is desired. When we think about the purity and power of love, it shows us how there is no bias or boundaries within it. One of the definitions of love is; an intense feeling of deep affection and that is just what this first Boss Mann issue of the year seeks to give our readers. Our cover with Omid Kay displays the Boss Mann Magazines deep affection for culture. Having this gifted and striking Persian-American on the cover is such an honor. Mr. Kay is the first person of Persian heritage on the cover of this new era of Boss Mann magazine.

This issue introduces two new bloggers; Dana Williams and Justin Timbershake.  The Boss Mann magazine considers it an honor to have these two new bloggers because they are passionate about inspiring and positively impacting the lives of all people. When you look across the world today, you see all kind of discord and hardship and the news on television definitely makes sure that everyone is informed of every bit of it. While there is an abundance of negativity in our world, there are so many beautiful displays of love and positivity. Boss Mann magazine is committed to utilizing our platform to present some of these beautiful displays of love and spotlight who is carrying them out. As always, we encourage all of our readers to take your time and get familiar with this issue. We create with our readers in mind. Welcome to another Boss Mann issue.  This month we are Twinning!  “So have you ever wanted to be a twin?”   Well I sure wanted to growing up and just like everyone I thought it would be so cool to have a carbon copy of yourself and someone that new you better than you knew yourself.  But with our group of twins we found that the myths and mis conceptions of twins are not always spot on. There is no psychic powers that allows them to know what each other is thinking or to feel each others pain and all the crazy things we have heard about.

In fact with our featured twins the Lewis brothers it’s just the opposite.  They look very much alike but we found during their interview that they are completely different in so many ways.

He was arrested, and bail was set for one hundred thousand dollars because they say he fit the description.  We posted the story when it first came out in our August 2014 issue and we are thankful to Charles to allow us to do the follow up one year later.  Hear what this man on a mission has accomplished in a year by turning the unjustifiable incident that happened to him into a State Bill  “Auto Erase Law” which will diminish the thought and problems of trying to take a charge off your record especially one you did not commit.
