Plus 50 is a national magazine aimed at the seniors market of South Africa. It is the mouthpiece of the seniors organisation GreyPower, although published by an independent commercial company Plus 50 Media (Pty) Ltd. The magazine appeared for the first time in 2005. A philosophy of positive ageing is at the heart of the magazine.

The articles are in Afrikaans or in English and touch on a wide range of subjects of interest to seniors, such as retirement planning, housing, pension and money matters, emotional and physical health, inspiring personalities, sport, culture, hobbies, new books, looking youthfully plus 50 and anti-ageing therapies.

The magazine appears every two months, i e January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, November/December, with a print-run of 13 000. It is distributed nationally and appears on the shelves of supermarkets (Spar, Pick’nPay), bookshops (Exclusive Books, CNA, PNA) and is also on sale at selected garages and pharmacies. It is an unbiased publication not affiliated to any political party or organisation.

The editor is Dr Karel Prinsloo and its medical editor is Professor Oppel Greeff, Head of the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Pretoria.

Dit is die mondstuk van die seniorsorganisasie GrysKrag, hoewel dit deur ‘n onafhanklike kommersiële instansie Plus 50 Media (Edms) Bpk uitgegee word. Die artikels is in Afrikaans of in Engels en raak onderwerpe oor ‘n wye spektrum van seniorsbelangstelling aan, waaronder aftree-beplanning, behuising, pensioen- en geldsake, emosionele en liggaamlike gesondheid, inspirerende persoonlikhede, sport, kultuur, vakansies, stokperdjies, nuwe boeke, jonkbly-modes en verjongende kure.
Die tydskrif verskyn elke twee maande: Januarie/Februarie, Maart/April, Mei/Junie, Julie/Augustus, September/Oktober, November/Desember.
