In this issue

CAR is Southern Africa’s leading multimedia automotive consumer brand. Established in 1957, CAR magazine continues to be the dominant opinion-forming, monthly automotive-interest magazine in South Africa. It caters for a wide spectrum of motoring enthusiasts irrespective of age, demographic or income group and owes its lasting reputation to critical road tests and driving impressions of the latest models in South Africa.

Its website, CARmag.co.za, was established almost two decades ago, in 1996, to offer web-based motoring enthusiasts a frequently updated source of news and information about the car market.
More recently, CAR acquired a mobile presence in the shape of a mobisite and now offers downloadable content through a variety of mobile delivery partners. What’s more, CAR-branded audiovisual content, produced in-house by the CARtv division, has dovetailed a variety of the brand’s innovative marketing activities to bring CAR to a broader audience through CARmag.co.za, YouTube, myvideo.co.za and satellite television.
