Welcome to issue 163 of The GameOn Magazine!
As I write this it’s Not-E3 Week, which means you
already know what was announced, while I’m still
absolutely clueless! I mean specifically about this, not
just in general… But anyway, we at GameOn Towers
played some games, and here’s what we wrote about
them!
Our articles cover Gameloft, zombie games, more
zombie games, and games that might as well be
zombies themselves! Well, more like a
Frankenstienian Monster, but I was going with a
theme, see? There were a couple of fifth
anniversaries recently, so we cover those, and plenty
of tips & tricks for a couple of games reviewed in this
issue!
The previews in store for you have either come out in
Early Access, be coming out at some point, or have a
release date set after we go to print for next issue!
There are six of them and range from puzzles to firstperson
shooters, so don’t skip them!
Finally, our reviews see Bennett setting up a
Homestead Arcana, Alana solving The Last Case of
Benedict Fox, and Artura getting lost at the Call of the
Sea VR. Then Dylan was writing with Dead Ink, and
Mike biked out to the TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge

Hidden Gem: Haven Park
After I had the pleasure of playing and 100%ing A Short Hike, I've been fortunate to find some titles that bring back that same sense of relaxing adventure, where you explore a place that means a lot to the protagonist. The newest title to fit the bill is Haven Park - a charming game that surprisingly has only 463 reviews.

My Journey to 100% Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
I've always been a fan of souls-like titles: the challenge, the gameplay, the glorious feeling of completing the game - it all appeals massively to me. So, naturally, on release, I bought and played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice through... as much as I could. Fight as I may, and after easily hundreds of deaths, the final boss - Sword Saint Isshin, because I'm not a corrupt shura player beat the crap out of me repeatedly.

Game Over: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
In all my years of playing Nintendo games, The Legend of Zelda series has been a bit of a mystery to me, and it wasn't until the franchise broke free from its shackles and embarked on a new adventure that I was finally able to sink my teeth into it. So while longtime fans may lament this breaking conventions mindset, I actually find it refreshing, and I feel like the developers at Nintendo were reaching out to people like me who found the older titles uninviting. This attempt at an open world and more freeing Zelda game is, of course, seen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. This was my first Zelda game, and I've put way too much time into it, but that's due to its sprawling landscapes, genius physics system, gorgeous visuals, and player freedom. I've played it multiple times now, and after the latest gameplay showcase for Breath of the Wild's sequel - Tears of the Kingdom - I decided to jump back into the world of Hyrule and fall in love all over again with the experience. It's not my first rodeo, more like my fourth or fifth.

Why I'm Excited for Alan Wake 2
Thanks to my wife introducing me to the Resident Evil franchise, I found myself falling in love with the horror genre. Finishing a scary game offers a unique sense of accomplishment and immense satisfaction a feeling other games couldn't quite capture.

The Age of Broken AAA Videogames
The process of making a videogame is one of the most complicated processes that a person or a team can endure. These things take so much coordination, communication, and money that it's a miracle we even get them in the first place.

Detroit: Become Human - Does It Still Have Replayability Value?
Back in 2018, Detroit: Become Human came out, and by all means, it was a great success. The game was highly lauded, and I still firmly believe it's much better than its predecessors: Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain. We'll go into a bit of depth about the story and replayability, so warning in advance: there will be spoilers ahead. If you've not played Detroit: Become Human before, I advise you to stop reading now.

Tips & Tricks to Survive Citadel Station in System Shock
As a retro-inspired title, System Shock tends to tell you... well, nothing. Zilch. Nada. If you enter System Shock expecting any form of guidance, you're in for a treat!

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has players soaring to the skies with their paragliders and rockets in an exuberant fashion.

ArcRunner
ArcRunner is a roguelite third-person shooter developed by Trickjump Games and published by PQube. An A.I.-controlled space station known as the Arc has been infected by a meta-virus, causing it to go insane, turn all the robots hostile, and send all the inhabitants to reprocessing.

Dungeon Drafters
I have been playing a ton of deck-building games lately and have been having a blast with them, so when I saw Dungeon Drafters, I knew that I wanted to check it out. Unlike the traditional titles in this genre, Dungeon Drafters has you use your cards as magic in encounters instead of having a battle where both sides are tossing down their decks.

Fitness Circuit
Fitness Circuit, the latest game from Spike Chunsoft promises \"Circuit Training for Every Body\" - clever, I see what you did there this is a home workout program on the Nintendo Switch. The last time I played a workout game was Wii Fit, which used a balance board and the Wiimotes to measure your movements. This time with the Switch, you will be holding two joy cons that will track your motion, no other equipment is required.
