Okay, let's now take a brief look at what we have lined up for you in the April 2022 issue of RCM&E. Starting with our regulars, in Bench Blog, after building a short run of diesel-powered models, Tim Hooper heads back to other forms of model propulsion. When it comes to model photography there’s a lot to be said for a low winter sun; Chris Williams presents his latest collection of on-board flying shots in his Scale Gliding column. Next up is Danny Fenton and Make It Scale. Danny returns to the workshop to silver solder an exhaust system for the Saito fitted to his DB Auster. Then it's over to Alex Whittaker and his Weekenders column, in which Alex ponders the rising costs of aeromodelling. For our pull-out Pro-Plan, we once again hand over to Tony Nijhius as he presents his latest and last offering in the current 70mm ‘Midi’ Jet series, a sweet looking 37” span Jet Provost. John Freeman is first out of the blocks with this month's reviews as he assembles the ATOMRC Dolphin, a multi-role pusher plane capable of camera toting, FPV or just good old sports flying! Then it is over to Andrew James, who takes the Esky 300 V2, an Airwolf inspired, fixed pitch full body helicopter for a spin. April's feature articles begin, as usual, with another Model Magic walkaround by Alex Whittaker. This time Alex looks over Laurie Hughes’ OV-10 Bronco twin boomer, built from the YT International kit. Steve Jones then describes how he used modern tech to build a classic single channel R/C model whilst keeping his original KK Gyron kit intact. We then re-join Mr. Whittaker as he returns to Old Warden for a relaxed weekend of scale flying Finishing it all off is Roy Thompson, who takes a trio of Martin Baker models, each associated with the famous ejection seat manufacturer, on a visit to the company's airfield at Chalgrove in Oxfordshire. I hope you enjoy reading it all. Happy Flying!
