Innovation and technology have the potential to transform the electricity sector. Digitalization has had a major impact in the power system operation. Termed as ‘smart grid’, it brought in efficiency and optimization at the generation, transmission, and distribution levels. Waste-to-energy refers to a family of technologies that treat waste to recover energy in the form of heat, electricity or alternative fuels such as biogas.
