The 12 major Indian ports handled 92.821 mt of total traffic in AprilMay 2020, lower by 22.16% than 119.239 mt recorded for AprilMay 2019, according to data released by the IPA.

Railways' iron-ore handling down 10% in FY20
Railways in AprilMay 2020 transported 16.84 mt of iron ore for exports, steel plants and other domestic use down 30.3% from 24.16 mt transported in April-May 2019. Revenue from this stood at ₹1,304.92 cr, down by 26.8% from ₹1,782.34 cr earned in year ago period.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has achieved the highest ever June month sales this year. The domestic and export sales stood at 12.77 Lakh tons which is a jump of more than 18 percent over the corresponding period last year.
