We are thrilled to present our Spring 2015-2016 issue of the JSNMA – Mental Health in the Professional World. Discussing mental health among colleagues in professional settings is often considered taboo, despite its heightened prevalence. The theme of this issue focuses on bringing awareness to the importance of starting the conversation about mental health in the professional world and highlighting the many positive implications this line of conversation holds. Through creative works, innovative research, and thoughtful commentary, our authors explore the navigation of mental health in the professional world and assert their opinions on the theme.

Journal of the Student National Medical Association (JSNMA) Magazine Description:

JSNMA is the flagship publication of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA). As the voice of the SNMA, it serves as an educational and outreach tool to upcoming doctors and researchers. Journal topics include medical education, research, health advocacy, career opportunities, cultural competency and community outreach. As a print publication, the JSNMA reached over 8,000 student health professionals, physicians, deans and executives.
