A FIRST training double for Joey Richards, who also made a winning return to the saddle, and a 100th career winner for John Dawson on Glittering Love were the highlights at the Tynedale’s diamond anniversary fixture.
Joey always had Scarlet Fire sitting prominently in the ladies’ open and, after disputing the lead with Knocklong (Charlotte Crane) from five out, the 11-year-old asserted going to the last and had four lengths in hand at the line.
