A NEW range of riding leggings made from recycled plastic bottles is among the innovations equestrian businesses have introduced to help create a greener industry.

Equestrian clothing manufacturer Aztec Diamond has spent 18 months redeveloping its Icon leggings in a recycled technical fabric and the product has now been launched to market.

The company had already introduced biodegradable packaging and also removed all plastic from its swing tags in an effort to boost sustainability.

“Something I am quite passionate about is the individual effect certain businesses have on the environment, especially fast fashion brands,” Aztec Diamond CEO Jordan McCabe told H&H.

“One of our main aims is to ensure we are not fast fashion and that our clothes are durable.”
