On Sunday, two $216,000 (£173,000) show jumping grands prix were held at different locations about a mile apart. That’s $432,000 in prize money for two fields of multinational starters and Olympic medal winners.
California-based Egyptian Nayel Nassar won the $216,000 Longines FEI World Cup at the Palm Beach Masters aboard his longtime partner, Lordan, edging out his former trainer, Laura Kraut riding Zeremonie in a 10-horse jump-off. He clocked a time of 38.15 seconds, while the best Laura could do was 39.92 seconds.
